Where do you live? Scarborough on the Redcliffe peninsula
What type of BMW do you own? S1000R Naked BMW Sports Bike
How did you originally find Northside Motorcycle Tyres and Service? I was referred to Northside Motorcycle Tyres and Service by five different people. One of these guys was another motorcycle shop owner who recommended that I only get my serviced with Adrian and Mark. Now I wouldn’t take my BMW or Harley to anyone else.
How long have you been a customer? Over 10 years, ever since I bought a Harley back from the USA
How often do you get your bike serviced? I get my BMW serviced every 10,000kms. I actually have five different bikes, including the BMW, and get all of them serviced at Northside Motorcycle Tyres and Service on a regular basis.
What keeps you coming back time and time again? Their expertise and the sheer confidence of being able to rely on their work.
The fact I can proudly say I’m happy to be a customer is a huge testament to their workmanship. I’m 50 years old and have been dealing with bike shops my whole life. I’m finally happy to have a decent shop which is why I take all of my bikes there.
How is Northside Motorcycle Tyres and Service superior to its competitors? The team’s attention to detail, they don’t leave things to chance. Both owners have a racing background so they really value and understand how important it is to be able to rely on your equipment.

In fact, one of the best jobs Adrian did for me was preparing my Honda crf450x for the Fink Desert Race in 2011. Any motorcycle enthusiast will know that it is Australia’s biggest and toughest desert race and very rough on the bikes, but Adrian turned my bike into a bulletproof machine. It did not even require a spanner on it all trip – I could not have asked for more!
Favourite place to ride locally? I have three favourite spots actually – Dayboro, Belthorpe and Kennilworth Mountains.
What would be your ultimate motorcycle adventure? To follow the Moto GP and World Superbikes around the planet one year.
